Garmin Europe Map Hack 2011 2012
Intro:
blog o' how to update the Garmin maps for free, updated to 2011.20 2011.40 2012.30 Europe (1st November 2011)
Firstly the sites I found of use were: this Haklabs.com page on how to update to 2012 with US maps and gpsunderground.com for tools, links and info when I couldn't find something.
There are two available methods to do this:
- get hacked garmin software and put the new map file on your satnav.
- download the pre-hacked map file.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any pre-hacked map files using only the internal memory (most of this type require an extra SD card inserted) for the UK but plenty on method 1, so lets do that.
